With almost 29% increase in digital downloads from the previous year, people all over the globe have capitalized on the discount deals on offer on the black Friday. In US alone, people spent more than one billion bucks on Black Friday. Cyber Monday was the much-awaited day for the shoppers, but they did not wait for it, as the Black Friday catered to their requirements serenely.

According to a survey report put forward by comScore.com, there has been an online spending of more than $ 13.5 billion since the beginning of the holiday season on November 1. Thanksgiving Day also paved way for an increase in online sales, and to be precise, there was an increase of 32% for the retailers dealing with digital content. When you speak of buying the content over the internet, Amazon had topped the charts during the mentioned period. After Amazon, Walmart, Apple, Target and Best Buy are among the top online sellers.

Black Friday has become a prominent shopping day for shoppers around the globe. Though, Black Friday is associated with mortar and brick world, but this year’s increased digital sales have enhanced the utility of the Black Friday. The competition got immense this year, and the top online sellers including Amazon offered various deals and packages on the Black Friday.

People prefer buying from an online store because of the ease and convenience on offer. This Black Friday marked history when digital sales were recorded at an all time high. Keeping the market trend in front, online retailers were willing to offer discounts and other offers ahead of the Cyber Monday, which is specifically reserved as a shopping day for the customers.

Along with the sales, free digital content download has also increased during the mentioned period. People are inclined towards buying the digital content whenever they feel the need for it, or whenever they come across an ideal discount offer etc. This is why people did not wait for the Cyber Monday, which is the most awaited day in connection to the online sales. Indeed, it was Black Friday that got the lead and the sites like Amazon enjoyed hefty online digital sales.

The increased Black Friday sales have gained a mixed response from the e-commerce experts. Most of them are of the view that reluctance on events like Cyber Monday alone deprives the customers of the shopping freedom. Since the announcement of Black Friday shopping deals and offers, people did not think twice in getting the job done, rather than actually waiting for the Cyber Monday. Counter arguments state that the increased sales on Black Friday can have a negative impact on the e-commerce business. Whatever the case, customers and e-commerce service providers have been benefited greatly, which, by no means is a fluke. 29% increase in the Black Friday sales indicates the changing pattern of the digital online sales.
