It’s hard to believe that 90% of the digital content out there was created within the last two years, but this content has been created with help from, for, and of businesses. Today people rent music online, giving artists wider instant distribution without the costs of creating CDs, tapes, or vinyl albums. And of course we have the digital pioneers to thank for this massive influx of digital content over the last few years. Before Amazon was founded in 1995 eCommerce wasn’t even a blip on the radar. Before the first iPhone was released in 2007 there was no Instagram and YouTube was in its infancy. These and other digital breakthroughs paved the way for the eventual creation of mountains of user data that can be leveraged to create the next big digital breakthrough.
