Happy customers help businesses thrive. Keeping your customers in that prime happiness zone, however, can get quite pricey. That’s why it’s important to focus on smaller incentive campaigns, which you can manage more consistently. This is where my favorite user engagement tool comes in – text messaging.


Why text messaging?


Texting allows businesses to contact their client’s directly with a quick personalized message. It’s the fastest, easiest, and most inexpensive way to target an infinite number of users in your database. With the use of variables, all it takes is writing one simple message, which is only 160 characters long. These variables allow you to pull custom data from your database, which automatically plugs into your message, giving it a personal feel.


More importantly, this process can be completed in minutes. Future campaigns can be completed even faster because you have the option of saving messages as templates. This means you won’t even need to write a new message for your next campaign, you can just simply reuse a past template. This is why text messaging is my tool of choice. It’s fast and easy to set-up. Client’s love it too because it leaves them feeling great.


As a writer, I know how hard it is to think about the perfect thing to say in just 160 characters. However, as an SMS professional, it just doesn’t feel right to have all this knowledge and not share it. I’ll be sharing a series of SMS templates which you can use to your advantage.
