Snapchat is a very hot social media right now. SXSW dubbed it the app, the “hottest of 2016” and it is just getting hotter as we speak. The tricky part with any social media is we need the right tools to create the most engaging content.
Here are the Top 6 Snapchat apps to master the hottest social media of SXSW.
#1 Slinger
Slinger is a new app that allows you to save vertical videos. What makes Slinger unique is that it also has a small social media integrated into the platform.
You can gain followers, and follow your favorite users. Everyone can vote on their favorite videos giving hearts to each one. If you gain enough votes you can even make it to the popular, rising, or new section to gain more followers.
#2 Ghostcodes
Snapchat’s first and only true discovery mechanism (though not created by Snapchat!).
When you sign up to Ghostcodes you have the ability to create a unique profile. Upload your QR code, pick your category, and interest. Once you are signed up, Ghostcodes becomes a “leaderboard” of sorts.

Splice is a lightweight video editing app to splice together Snapchat story clips. When you do a collaboration with another Snapchat user, sometimes the whole story isn’t neatly on one user’s account.

Save all your Snapchat videos to the cloud using Dropbox. Keeping lots of video footage on your phone eats up space. I mean a lot of space.

Jump over to Snapchat and film away. Personally, I prefer Musi because it pulls all Youtube videos, allowing me to get extra sound effects and all the music I want at no cost to me.
