Tips & Tricks For Better Adwords Performance

February 26, 2015

In October of 2000, Google introduced something that took online marketing by storm. They introduced what we now call Google Adwords.

If you’re not familiar with Adwords, it’s those little ads you see on the sides and bottom of the page when you use a search engine. It’s a pay-per-click (PPC) service which allows you to strategically place ads throughout a users page on a search engine.

So are Adwords effective? You bet your bottom dollar they are, and here is why:

Measure that SEO

Measuring your SEO results can be difficult at times. Of course, you can take a look at where your listings are popping up on Google, or other search engines, but we need to know more. That’s where Google Adwords PPC comes into play. Your Adwords PPC comes with plenty of little metrics to keep yourself busy. It allows you to see what is and what isn’t working with your SEO strategy.

Instant Results

Let’s say you’ve put together this great new eye-popping website and you get it online and want to see results right away. Unfortunately, it takes time with SEO, sometimes months, before your site starts making its way up the ranks. That’s not the case with Adwords. Once your Adwords campaign is up and running, ads will instantly appear and you will begin receiving results.

You Pay to Play

This one is a no-brainer. Thanks to the PPC system, you know your money isn’t going to waste because you only pay when someone clicks on your ad. So not only are you only paying when a user clicks, but users are seeing your ads on their search engine pages without you actually having to pay anything…unless they click on your ad, of course. But that’s what we want. So it’s a win-win situation.

Bring in the Bucks

Who are we kidding? The biggest reason is for conversions and sales, and Adwords stacks up with the best when it comes to a return on your investment. Now that doesn’t necessarily mean you can just throw up some ads and expect a huge ROI. It takes time, strategy and analysis.

So if you’re not currently using Adwords or not getting the results you want to see, do some research, see what’s working and get started. Take a look at the video above on our top 5 mistakes with Adwords or view our recent blog post on mistakes with Adwords.
