and developing our wings on the way down.”

Kurt Vonnegut

We all possess a number of gifts, talents, and skills. And, if you are anything like me, these are only overshadowed by the number of other creative things I’d like to pursue on a regular basis, and a few more that I would like to try out.

Crating is ingrained in our human nature. But, alas, it is not always easy to fit “everything” in. We are constantly juggling our “should dos,” “have tos,” “need tos” and “want tos.” And every healthy girl and boy should get in a lot more “want tos.”

Perhaps it is just a matter of semantics, but I believe is it a matter of not finding time, but of making time. We are able to make time for everyone else’s need, wants and desires. And, all to often place ourselves on the proverbial “back burner.” Rarely seen. Rarely stirred. Rarely revealed. But they do keep stirring around inside of us.

Creativity is a “must do” outlet for all the psychic energy burning inside of you. And unless we learn to make ourselves, our sanity, and our creativity a priority, we end up feeling that we lead pretty colorless lives.

What to do?

You know the drill…Make a list. This will probably take you a few days. Start with everything you think you want to do or try. Pottery. Art class. Yoga. A new instrument. Meditation. Starting an online store (yes, we can create in many ways). Learning to Code.

Then whittle this list down to 3-5 things that really sound exciting to you this very moment. Google places for resources.

Think of a creative way to make time. Trade a night of babysitting. Skip a night for a class your heart is no longer yearning to do.

Trade out a “should dos,” and get more “want tos” into your life.

Fulfill that urge to make your spirit sing and soar again!

Creativity. It does a body (mind and spirit) good!
