Why Infographics Are Still the Content Kings

Infographics. You might remember them from 2015 – present. They were everywhere, from resumes to videos. And whilst you might worry that infographics will become a ‘content faux pas’ soon, and be tempted to jump off the wagon, I can assure you – infographics are here to stay.

The continued enthusiasm of infographics in content marketing comes from their ability to be repurposed content. At Venngage, the infographic maker, we cross pollenate everything we create in order to get maximum value from our content.

For example, we’d write a blog post about, say, Graphic Design Trends to watch out for in 2020, but we’d also use that information to create an infographic that can be shared on social media. And infographics work great on social media because people like looking at nice things!

Why Infographics Are Still the Content Kings

We all know big blocks of text are difficult to digest, and that good content uses images and videos to help the reader stay focused.

But what if the imagery you used to break up the text also functioned as content in its own right?

Put it this way, it’s much easier to share an infographic on Twitter than it is to share a 1000 word blog post.

And outside of social media, infographics still work across all of your marketing efforts. From offline marketing such as flyers, brochures, and even resumes, to email newsletters and landing pages – infographics can add a lot of value to your content. Especially in digital marketing, infographics can help increase the time visitors spend on your page, which benefits your SEO.

At Venngage we’re able to take it a step further as well, by using the infographics we have created for our blog articles about infographics, and turn them into templates that our users can customize. Meta, right?

There are many tools out there that can help you create infographics easily, that it’s no longer a case of getting the intern to load up Photoshop. Infographics are now an easy and low-cost way to create valuable content that is both interesting and eye-catching.

And that’s why infographics will never stop being the content kings. Get on board before it’s too late.
