Google AdWords Keyword Planner is a great tool to start with when looking for new keywords.
Start by entering your service or product and then head on over to the keyword ideas tab.
Let’s say you are an exterminator. You can see in the table below that there’s great traffic volume around these terms, however, these tend to be more competitive and generic in nature. We shouldn’t deal with those more competitive broader terms.
Here’s a good example of buying keywords to target that have purchase intent and would be easier to rank for given their low competitiveness. Yet these very searchers drive more qualified leads to your website.
