Chris Penn talks DeepSeek and its big impact on marketers

I interviewed TrustInsight’s Chris Penn last Friday, and he told me how DeepSeek was going to kick over the apple cart of Big TYech in general and marketing in particular.

You can watch an excerpt from our conversation below.

Among Penn’s onbservations:

  • AI is already doing much entry-level work, and DeepSeek’s low price means more companies will use it.
  • Widespread adoption will make more marketers more productive. Unfortunately, making it possible for one marketer to do the work of three or four others means there will be far fewer marketing jobs.
