Now that we have your attention, please read the following information as it pertains to you.

We at SEO Inc. want to go on the record and state that Google DID NOT RELEASE A NEW ALGORITHM code named “Elephant.” We wanted to get your attention and alert you to the importance of what Google is trying to convey. The reason we used the term “Elephant” is because:

  1. an elephant is not a cute little bear or bird but one of the largest animals on the planet; and
  2. the old saying,“an elephant never forgets”

That second one is especially where this all comes into play. Google has not forgotten about past violations to its Webmaster Guidelines, and we now have evidence that Google may very well be reviewing all past infractions.

Google recently sent one strong message in its most recent post on the Official Google Webmaster Central Blog (see below). The post warns webmasters whose sites have been hit with a Manual Action penalty, had the Manual Action revoked by sending a reconsideration request, but who are now back to their diabolical ways of trying to trick and scam Google by going back and reverting the fixes. Actions like this is essentially doing the same things that violate the basic or specific Webmaster Guidelines.

Maybe another old saying fits here – “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” Webmasters who try to trick the system will always revert to their old ways, only now it seems like Google is ready to start punishing those who do. That’s why it’s more important to just stick to ethics, work hard, and you will succeed.

Bottom line: Learn SEO the correct way and you will be rewarded, go to the Dark Side and, well, you know the rest of the story!
