3 Things Every Small Business Deserves

May 5, 2015

3 Things Every Small Business DeservesThis week is National Small Business Week! (Then again, at ReachLocal, we celebrate small businesses and their success every week!)

This year, the U.S. Small Business Administration will recognize small business owners and entrepreneurs who have taken the bold steps to put this year’s motto into action: “Dream Big. Start Small.” At ReachLocal, it’s our goal to help small businesses build those dreams through great service and smart technology designed with them in mind. And while we love celebrating small businesses this week, here are three things we think small businesses deserve every week of the year!

A Standing Ovation

Small businesses drive the economy – nearly two out of every three jobs are created by small businesses. This week, we believe every small business deserves recognition and applause for doing what they believe in and working hard to make their business a success. So to help celebrate great local businesses, we want to see your favorite ones! This week, in addition to joining the official #DreamSmallBiz conversation, we want to see pictures of your favorite small businesses posted by tagging @ReachLocal and #SmallBizLove on Twitter and Instagram! We’ll re-share some of our favorites on our accounts to spread our appreciation of small businesses across the country.

Big Business Solutions

Small businesses deserve the same access to powerful solutions and technology that help big businesses get customers. For example, software like ReachEdge allows small businesses to track the source of every online lead and see the value of each marketing effort so they can get the most out of their marketing budgets. And to help small business do more with mobile marketing, we developed, ReachDisplay InApp. This solution displays ads on mobile apps (where consumers spend 88% of their mobile time), to consumers within a certain distance of a small business location. These are just a couple of the latest ways we put big technology into the hands of small business owners.

Great Partnerships

One difference between large enterprises and small businesses is the amount of hats each employee must wear. That’s why it’s key for small business owners to have experts in multiple fields available to them and focused on helping them manage all of the tasks that keep leads and customers coming through their doors. By partnering with an online marketing solutions partner, small businesses can get the expertise and assistance they need. At ReachLocal, we call this “software with service.”

How do You Love Small Businesses?

It’s an exciting time to be a small business, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to celebrate SMBs and help them fulfill their dreams! Let us know how you plan to help small businesses – and don’t forget to share your favorite small business photos!
