Last week, Instagram announced 41 marketing-tech partners to help grow their advertising business.
In a blog post, Instagram writes,
Instagram Partners help solve a wide variety of business challenges—whether it’s driving more installs for a new mobile gaming app, or driving in-store foot-traffic during the holidays…Instagram gives brands a powerful platform to drive consumer awareness and action, and to reach new, qualified audiences.”
Across the 400 Instagram campaigns they investigated in 2015, 97% of campaigns generated significantly higher lift in ad recall, with 2.8x higher recall than the Nielsen norms. So before you dabble in creating your own Instagram ad, be sure to learn the specs:
- 1080x1080px recommended (while only 600x600px required) for optimal Image posting.
- Landscape images require 600x315px.
- Videos require a minimum 720px resolution between 3 and 30 seconds long (30 MB max).
- There is a 300 character maximum – don’t forget hashtags!
