#TechTuesday: How To Use Bookmarks

March 24, 2015

Bookmarking is the action you take when saving a web page, so that you can come back to it at a later date. You can use your browser (as I say in the video, Chrome works best) to compile a list of websites which have great, shareable content.

I have teamed up with Shaz who runs the YouTube Channel Good Person to Know, which focuses on sharing knowledge and expertise from industry experts, to explain in just over four minutes how to use Bookmarks. See video below:

Here are 3 reasons why you should be using Bookmarks for your business:

1. Staying Organised

Bookmarking is a definite way to stay organised. Just one click of the button, and you have all the web content you need, saving you time and making sure your content sources are organised.

2. An Alternative to Feedly

Feedly is one of my favourite tools however, it doesn’t accept all websites. When it doesn’t, you need to find somewhere to store all of your research content.

3. Builds a Hub of Your Research

By this, I mean you can build your folders, and then sub folders. You may be researching jewellery and this will then need to branch into sub categories e.g. earrings, rings and necklaces. You might also be researching fashion, and you will also need to sub categorise this as well.

Stay tuned for next week where I will talk about another personal favourite tool of mine that will help you grow your business.
