Email is consistently the best digital marketing channel for marketers – so it comes as no surprise that email is preferred 70% of the time by consumers as their choice of communication between them and businesses/brands. That said, an awesome new infographic by the folks at Spring Engage serves to again suggest the effectiveness of email marketing. It also shares some really awesome details as to how consumers are engaged with email marketing emails.
One of the most fascinating stats is in regards to triggered emails, which can increase click-through rates by as much as 119% compared to regular email marketing campaigns. Furthermore, the highest open rates occur between 11AM and 2PM.
As we’ve mentioned before, it’s becoming an increasingly mobile world. In fact, we just wrote last week about how moms are incorporating their mobile devices into all of their shopping experiences in-store! Moreover, Mobile opens have grown by 180% in the last three years. While most people (93.3%) check their email on their laptops and desktop computers, that number could change over the years as smartphones continue their takeover. Currently, 67.2% of people check their email on smartphones, and 42.3% check it on tablets – and as many people adopt tablets to replace their computers, that percentage could increase very soon.
