You have seen them, those videos with the hand actually writing little pictures and doodles with the voiceover promoting a real estate broker or an insurance plan and even promoting whiteboard creation services.

Or maybe you have heard people talking about getting a whiteboard video for their business.

But what the heck is a whiteboard video?

Whiteboard animation is a process where a creative story and storyboard with pictures is drawn on a whiteboard (or something that resembles a whiteboard) by artists who record themselves in the process of their artwork. It is used in TV and internet advertising to communicate messages in a unique way.

The term comes from the process of drawing on a whiteboard and recording it. The “animation” typically consists of a time-lapse or stop-motion artwork, but is not usually actual animation.

Whiteboard videos provide several benefits for your company. In fact, adding an explanation video to your website can increase your conversions by 20%.

But, if you still aren’t convinced, here are 6 reasons why your business should have a whiteboard video in your marketing strategy.

1. People Don’t Want to Read

Your website probably has all the information anyone could ever want to learn about what it is you do and what you can do for them. We are now in the age of visual information where visual content plays a role in every part of life. As 65 percent of the population is visual learners, images are clearly key to engaging people

2. Expand Your Audience –Improve Your Reach

Videos generate 1200% more shares than text and images combined. Having your videos shared by the viewers expands the reach. More people will see your video and learn who you are and what you do. Videos have a 135% greater reach than photos and branded videos have a 148% greater reach.

3. Boost Search Rank

Companies with videos on their sites see 41% more web traffic from search. Additionally video drives more traffic from search engines. There is a 157% increase in organic traffic from search and 62% of Google searches include video.

4. Tell Your Story

Video scribing works great to tell an audience what it is that you do. This is a place to provide a detailed description of your business and an explanation about how you can help the consumer.

5. Explain What Your Business Does/How to Use the Product

These videos are also a great way to demonstrate a bit more about what your products or services actually can do. In fact, shoppers viewing a video about a product were 1.81 times more likely to purchase the product after watching the video.

6. Generate More Revenue

Businesses using videos grow company revenue 49% faster than organizations without video.

No matter the business type or size, many companies are incorporating this new video style into their marketing and advertising campaigns.
