Kelly and I put on our body armer and hit the invite-only preview of Modernica’s annual warehouse sale last Thursday.
It was like a feeding frenzy of modernists and hipsters. If you weren’t there early, and didn’t claim your spoils within the first few minutes of the event, you were condemned to either go home empty-handed and demoralized, or wait in line for 2 hours to pay for a vase, because it was all you could find.
