2014 Typography Trends to Remember in 2015 [Infographic]

January 11, 2015

A majority of people tend to follow fashion, hair, and makeup trends, whether it’s seasonally or yearly. Then there are people like me, who wear whatever they want, in any color, any time of the year – people who tend to ignore the “trends.” (Don’t get me wrong, I like fashion…but me and heels is just not a safe combination.)

That being said, that doesn’t mean that I ignore all types of trends. In fact, as a designer I care an awful lot about the trends that are happening in the graphic design world.

Last year, FIDM Digital Arts blog wrote an article about the design trends they expected to flourish in 2014; and holy predictions, Batman, were they right! Monograms, banners, badges, and handwritten type were all prevalent in designs throughout 2014 – just take a gander at the designs plastered around Pinterest and Behance.

To remember some of the brilliant ideas designers discovered this past year, I’ve gathered a list of the trendiest typography trends of 2014 (that haven’t gone stale just yet!).
